Alchemilla.

Although not strictly a plant based restaurant, Alchemilla makes vegetables shine. They wanted knives that would suit their surroundings with a natural and classic look. The blade is a classic drop point style table knife with weight reduction slots hidden in the handle. We chose a highly figured walnut for the handle with a black G10 composite liner. The natural figure of the wood makes each knife uniquely beautiful.

Having just secured their first Michelin star, Alchemilla were looking for something classic.

To cope with the demands of daily use in a busy restaurant, the wooden handle has had all of the air removed from it’s pores in a custom designed vacuum chamber. These pores are then flooded with a food safe resin. This process prevents moisture altering the structure of the handle.

Classic looks.

The blade steel is an extremely clean stainless variant which has been hand ground to form a super sharp edge. The final cutting edge is formed using Japanese water stones.
